The Mexican actress, singer, author and designer struts into town at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Macy’s Memorial City (Level 1). She’ll be here to launch the Thalía Sodi fall collection, which includes clothing, shoes and jewelry.
Fans will have a chance to meet the singer, who starred in a series of iconic “Maria” novelas and has a string of hit albums and singles. The first 100 people to make a $100 purchase starting at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Thalía Sodi line get a meet and greet pass.
There are more stars on the way for Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15-Oct. 13. Reggaeton singer and celebrity makeup artist Angel Merino team up for a discussion on style, career and culture, 2 p.m. Oct. 10 at the same Macy’s location. Merino will also host a beauty tutorial. A $50 purchase during the event gets you a photo with them and a copy of Don Omar’s “The Last Don II” album.
Both events will be hosted by Yvonne Guidry, who runs the popular Spoiled Latina fashion and beauty blog and is a Hennessy (Cognac) ambassador.
‘Packing! God willing, I will fly very early and see you in Houston tomorrow! Can’t wait!’ (Thalía on Facebook)

On Saturday, September 19th, Macy’s welcomed internationally recognized singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, author, philanthropist, and designer Thalía to Macy’s Memorial City to celebrate the official launch of the Thalía Sodi fall collection with a meet and greet with the icon herself.
Hundreds of guests received an exclusive pass for a meet and greet with Thalía! The Thalía Sodi collection includes apparel, shoes and jewelry and is available at 300 Macy’s stores nationwide and on Macy’s. The exclusive new line captures the passion, charisma and style of the legendary Thalía Sodi and features feminine, figure-flattering dresses, tops and pants, as well as bold prints, bright colors, sexy silhouettes and glitzy jewelry.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Thalia and talk about the collaboration with Macy’s, how she juggles life as a working mother and advice for the next Latina boss. She is so sweet, she interacted beautifully with her fans and it was great to meet her and pick her brain.
